The October 2 Mini Portfolio and Enhanced 2-Pack Blister are in Pokémon's general October roundup, but neither is named as a 30th Celebration product there. This comparison stays with the products the publisher connects to that expansion, plus the Deck Crafter's Collection because it is the month's distinct build-your-own option.

Mini Tin and Booster Bundle
- The Booster Bundle gives you six 30th Celebration packs. Each pack contains one Pikachu rare card from 30 illustrated variants, according to Pokémon. Six packs do not guarantee six different variants.
- One Mini Tin gives you two packs and a sticker sheet. Its art card matches the tin, and the 10 designs combine into two larger images, one day scene and one night scene.
- For someone who mainly wants packs, compare the total price of three tins against one six-pack bundle at the store you will actually use. That comparison excludes the value you personally place on the tins, art cards and stickers.
- If you want a particular design, check the listing image and product name before ordering. A sealed display of 10 tins is a different purchase from one tin.
If you want price-based box math for a different Pokémon release, our Pitch Black value guide shows the dated box price and card-value assumptions. It does not estimate returns for 30th Celebration.

Choose a Mini Tin design
Choose the artwork you want; the announced contents do not give one design better pack odds.
- The Mew link above and nine more single-tin listings below cover all ten artwork choices.
- Check the seller's image for the Pokémon or day/night scene before ordering.
- The separate display listing contains ten tins, not one. Each individual tin has two packs, a sticker sheet and a matching art card.

Deck Crafter's Collection: useful cards, not a finished deck
- Pokémon lists a foil Meowth ex and 39 Trainer cards, for 40 cards total. The other contents are a Deck Crafter's Guide, nine labeled dividers and one booster pack.
- The 39 Trainer cards may fill gaps in decks you already have, but the collection does not supply a complete 60-card deck. Check the exact card list when it is available if one missing Trainer is the reason you would buy it.
- Pokémon's October roundup does not identify the included booster's expansion. Do not count it as a 30th Celebration pack without checking the exact package; the six-pack bundle is the clearer choice for opening that set.
- This product's announced US availability is October 23. A preorder listing does not mean it has already released.

October products
Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks
- Both October 30 decks are all-foil, ready-to-play 60-card products. Pick the one you want to play, not the one whose extra promo looks better if your main goal is a playable deck.
- Espeon ex includes an illustration rare-style Victini promo. Umbreon ex includes an illustration rare-style Zeraora promo.
- The publisher has not provided the two full decklists in the October roundup. Without them, a claim that one deck wins more often or contains better singles would be guesswork.
- If you already play Pokémon, compare each published list with cards you own before buying for upgrades. A ready-to-play deck is a different purpose from Deck Crafter's 40-card collection.

The other deck
Umbreon ex Battle Deck
- Choose Umbreon ex if it is the deck you want to play. Its extra illustration rare-style promo features Zeraora.
- This is a separate October 30 product, not a second deck included with Espeon.

Shopping checks
- Compare the same English-language product and release region. A Japanese 30th Celebration product with similar art is not the English Booster Bundle or Battle Deck.
- Check whether a listing is for a single Mini Tin, a 10-tin display, one Battle Deck or a sealed case. The product title changes the unit you receive.
- Treat current seller asks as prices to check, not as evidence that opening packs will recover their cost. Shipping and tax may change the final decision.
