The short answer
Buy Skeletor for value; buy the rest for the art.
Nyah-ha-ha! is the cleanest buy. Its cheapest existing nonfoils total $35.11 against a $29.99 price, and its foil comparables total $55.26 against $39.99. More importantly, the value is distributed across five cards instead of resting on one scarce printing.
The For the Honor of Grayskull foil bundle also works on paper: $264.95 in current foil replacement value for $199.95. The nonfoil bundle goes the other direction, with $137.80 of comparable singles for $149.95. That $12.15 gap is the price of the new Masters of the Universe art before tax.
Two foil totals need a bright warning label. Konda's Banner supplies $51.62 of the $76.36 Grayskull total, and Sakashima the Impostor supplies $50.03 of the $64.66 Allies total. Both are scarce older foils that this release is directly reprinting. They explain today's replacement cost, but they are weak evidence for what the new cards will resell for.
All five drops ranked
The foil finish changes the answer.
| Drop | Nonfoil value | Foil value | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nyah-ha-ha! | $35.11 vs. $29.99 | $55.26 vs. $39.99 | Best overall buy |
| By the Power of Grayskull! | $27.08 vs. $29.99 | $76.36 vs. $39.99 | Foil, with reprint risk |
| She-Ra, Princess of Power | $27.59 vs. $29.99 | $39.63 vs. $39.99 | Fair for the exclusive art |
| Allies and Enemies of Eternia | $26.55 vs. $29.99 | $64.66 vs. $39.99 | Foil rests on Sakashima |
| Sold Separately | $21.47 vs. $29.99 | $29.04 vs. $39.99 | Art-first purchase |
She-Ra is the most interesting near-break-even case. The cheapest ordinary Sol Ring is only $1.41, but this is the first full-art, textless Sol Ring. The ordinary-printing method intentionally gives that treatment no collector premium. If that picture is the card you want, a small $2.40 nonfoil gap is reasonable.
How the math works
Exact current paper comparables, dated August 30.
For every included card, we selected the cheapest positive English paper price listed by Scryfall for nonfoil and foil separately. Gold-border cards, oversized cards, memorabilia, and the unreleased Masters of the Universe printings are excluded. The exact comparable set and TCGplayer product are linked in every row.
This is deliberately a replacement-cost floor. It asks what you would spend to own the same game pieces without the new art. Flavor names do not create new cards: He-Man is Winota, Skeletor is Tinybones, She-Ra is Sisay, and the printed rules and Commander color identity still come from those underlying Oracle cards.
Bonus cards shown in the official drop list are included. The full-art Sol Ring belongs to She-Ra, and the double-sided Command Tower belongs to Sold Separately. Unannounced surprise bonus cards are valued at $0. Taxes and checkout availability are not part of the totals.
He-Man and the heroic warriors
Is By the Power of Grayskull worth it?
The $27.08 nonfoil floor is close enough that He-Man fans can treat the $2.91 gap as an art premium. The foil story looks spectacular at $76.36, but Konda's Banner is $51.62 of it. That card has one old Champions of Kamigawa printing, so this reprint targets the exact scarcity creating the headline number.

Is Nyah-ha-ha worth it?
This is the only drop that clearly clears its price in both finishes without one card doing all the work. Necrogen Mists, Breach the Multiverse, Bottomless Pit, and Tinybones all contribute meaningful value, and the discard theme is coherent enough to seed a Skeletor Commander deck.

Recheck TCGplayerThe Princess of Power
Is She-Ra, Princess of Power worth it?
Ordinary copies land just under both prices, but this method is especially conservative here. The first full-art, textless Sol Ring is a genuine treatment feature, while Sisay, Silence, Emiel, and Kutzil are all established Commander cards. Buy this for the six-card lineup and art, not for a $27.59 spreadsheet total.

Recheck TCGplayerEternia's supporting cast
Is Allies and Enemies of Eternia worth it?
The nonfoil total misses retail by only $3.44, which is reasonable for six new character treatments. The $64.66 foil total is less sturdy than it looks: Sakashima contributes $50.03, or 77%. If you do not specifically want foil Man-E-Faces, the other five foil comparables add up to only $14.63.

Recheck TCGplayerMounts, thrones, and weapons
Is Sold Separately worth it?
Sold Separately misses by $8.52 nonfoil and $10.95 foil. The double-sided Command Tower, with Castle Grayskull on one face and Snake Mountain on the other, could develop a collector premium that an ordinary 25-cent copy cannot model. That makes it visually exciting, not an automatic value buy.

Recheck TCGplayerBundle math
The foil bundle has the power.
| Bundle | Price | Comparable cards | Reading |
|---|---|---|---|
| I Have the Power Non-Foil Bundle | $149.95 | $137.80 | −$12.15 before tax |
| For the Honor of Grayskull Foil Bundle | $199.95 | $264.95 | +$65.00, with scarce-foil risk |
| The Most Powerful Everything Bundle | $334.99 | $402.75 | Saves $14.91 versus both bundles separately |
The everything bundle costs $334.99, compared with $349.90 for the foil and nonfoil bundles separately. That discount matters only if you truly wanted both finishes. It does not turn the weaker nonfoil half into a must-buy.
Wizards says orders over $99 ship free and every $149 spent receives one foil Swan Song promo while supplies last. Each full single-finish bundle crosses the promo threshold by cents, which appears intentional. Do not add an unwanted drop merely to reach the threshold unless the promo is worth more to you than the extra spend.
Sale-day plan
The pre-queue is random, and a cart is not a reservation.
The official sale begins September 14 at 9 a.m. PT. The pre-queue opens at 8 a.m. PT, and everyone present before the sale is randomly assigned a place when the sale starts. Entering at 8:01 does not earn a better position than entering at 8:59.
Wizards also states that adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. Products are secured only after checkout completes. Decide your finish and backup choice in advance, confirm the exact products before paying, and do not treat a visible cart as guaranteed inventory.
The buying plan
Choose your side before you enter the queue.
Buy Nyah-ha-ha! if you want the safest mix of theme, playability, and current replacement value. It is the only drop with a positive margin in both finishes and no dominant single-card dependency.
Buy She-Ra if the full-art textless Sol Ring or the character lineup is the point. Its ordinary-card floor is nearly even, so you are not paying much for six new treatments.
Buy Grayskull or Allies in foil only with open eyes. Both clear their price today, but the margin is concentrated in Konda's Banner or Sakashima. Reprinting those exact scarce foils can pull the old reference price down.
Skip Sold Separately for pure card value. Buy it only if Battle Cat, the Sword of Power, or the double-sided Command Tower is worth the premium to you.
Final verdict: the Masters of the Universe Superdrop is worth shopping selectively. The foil bundle has positive replacement math, Skeletor is the best individual drop, and the nonfoil bundle is a nostalgia purchase rather than a bargain.
