October 16 Classic Constructed Legality Changes
- Dash I/O, Kassai of the Golden Sand and Oscilio, Constella Intelligence leave official Classic Constructed tournament play on Friday, October 16, 2026. If you play one of them, you’ll need a different legal hero for an event on or after that date.
- Legend Story Studios announced the change on October 13, after Week 3 of Pro Quest: London. Each hero crossed the 1000-point Living Legend threshold.
- Their signature weapons leave Classic Constructed too: Symbiosis Shot, Cintari Saber and Volzar, the Lightning Rod. Don’t keep one in your equipment selection after changing heroes.
- October 13 is the announcement date; October 16 is the effective date. The notice doesn’t move the cutoff back to the day the heroes earned their points.
| Hero | Signature weapon | Effective date |

Living Legend Format and Classic Constructed Legality
- Living Legend is both a status heroes can reach and the name of a separate format. The official system page says a hero that reaches that status stops being legal in its tournament format but remains legal in the Living Legend format.
- You can keep these heroes for Living Legend-format play. That doesn’t make the same deck legal at a Classic Constructed Armory or Pro Quest.
- This announcement names the adult heroes in the table. A young Dash, Kassai or Oscilio is a different card, and its legality needs its own format check.
- These weapons leave the format for everyone. For example, you can’t keep Cintari Saber in a Classic Constructed deck from October 16 just by choosing a different Warrior.
Keep the engine in mind
Dash Classic Constructed Deck Changes

- Dash I/O can look at the top card of your deck at any time. Once per turn, she can play a Mechanologist item costing 1 or less from there as though it were an instant, for an additional resource.
- You can keep looking at the top card, but you can only play an item this way once per turn. If a second item reaches the top later that turn, Dash doesn’t let you play that one too.
- When you switch heroes, review the items you used to play from the top of your deck. Losing Dash’s ability doesn’t itself ban those items or stop you playing legal cards normally from hand. It changes how and when you can play them.
- The official AIO001 card entry supplies the exact ability. The October 13 notice also identifies Symbiosis Shot as the weapon leaving with her.

Kassai of the Golden Sand Deck Changes

- Kassai reduces the resource cost of activating your sword attacks by one if you’ve drawn a card that turn. A replacement Warrior won’t inherit that discount.
- Her once-per-turn action banishes two red and two yellow cards from your graveyard. Red and yellow refer to the cards’ pitch colors. The next time a weapon you control hits a hero that turn, you create a Gold token. The action has go again, which lets you take another action afterward.
- The Gold effect needs the weapon hit. If you banish the four cards but none of your weapons hits a hero that turn, you don’t get a Gold token from this ability.
- When you choose a new Warrior, rebuild both the weapon selection and the turns that depended on cheaper sword attacks. Cintari Saber itself leaves Classic Constructed on October 16.
- Compare your plan with the official HVY090 ability before deciding which cards to reuse.

Oscilio, Constella Intelligence Deck Changes

- Oscilio, Constella Intelligence is the Elemental Wizard from Rosetta. His once-per-turn instant lets you discard an instant to draw a card. His Essence of Lightning allows Lightning cards in your deck. Check that your replacement hero can use those cards too.
- You must discard an instant to use that ability, not an attack action or any spare card. If your next Wizard has no equivalent ability, you can’t discard an unwanted instant to draw a replacement in the same way.
- The notice removes Volzar, the Lightning Rod as well. A different Wizard hero doesn’t let you keep that weapon in a Classic Constructed deck.
- Check ROS019 in the official Card Vault. Match the full name, Oscilio, Constella Intelligence. A different subtitle means a different hero card; this announcement doesn’t decide that card’s legality.

Classic Constructed Deck Registration Checklist
- For an event on or after October 16, pick a legal hero before moving cards between decks. Check the event’s announced format and the current official legality information.
- For those events, remove Symbiosis Shot, Cintari Saber and Volzar, the Lightning Rod, including copies with different artwork.
- Review each card against your new hero’s class and talents, then check the current banned and suspended cards. Cards you could use with your old hero may no longer fit your new one.
- Keep the old list if you want to play Living Legend. Register it only for an event using that format, with that format’s current rules.
